The solitary large gallstone has presented many problems for the clinician¢¥s consideration. We experienced very interesting, gallbladder shaped giant gallstone, 92 gm in dry weight, 11 X 5 X 5 cm in size, during March 1974.
The patient was admitted with high fever, chill and RUQ pain suggestive of acute suppurative obstructive cholangitis, and he was. successfully treated by., cholecystectomy with T-tube drainage. A brief review of literatures was.made about large gallstone & its possible complications.
